About Big Creek Suds

Big Creek Suds is a small‑batch handmade soap company based in Deville and Pineville, Louisiana. Our story began in 2025 for a very personal reason: my son Devin and I both have extremely sensitive skin. For years, we struggled with irritation from everyday products — soap, laundry detergent, deodorant, you name it. Nothing seemed gentle enough for our skin.

I started searching for a better option and decided to learn how to make our own soap. What began as a way to care for my family quickly grew into something bigger when I realized how many people were also looking for gentler, more nourishing products. That’s how Big Creek Suds was born.

Today, our soaps are made with tallow and lard bases, thoughtfully chosen fragrance oils, and skin‑safe colorants from Mad Micas. We recently began adding kaolin clay to our newer batches for a smoother feel and a more gentle cleanse. Some of our earlier soaps (made before January 15th) were created before this addition, but every bar — old or new — is made with intention, care, and attention to detail.

I, Jeannie, handle the making, cutting, curing, and testing of each batch. Devin helps with packaging, labeling, and keeping our little soap kitchen running smoothly. His attention to detail and pride in his work are a huge part of what makes Big Creek Suds special. This business truly is a family effort.

As we grow, we’re expanding our product line to offer more options for sensitive skin, including vegan soaps, goat milk soaps, salt bars, and more. Our goal is to give customers a wider variety of high‑quality, gentle, and thoughtfully crafted products to choose from.

At Big Creek Suds, we believe soap should be high‑quality, fun, and made with care. Our mission is simple: create products we trust for our own family and share them with others who also struggle with sensitive skin. We hope you enjoy every bar as much as we enjoy making them.
